Hangar Bicocca

A FREE TICKET FOR THE FREEDOM OF CULTURE

HangarBicocca is not only a space devoted to contemporary art, but the first (and only) cultural institution in Milan to be truly “pet friendly”. Born in 2004, it occupies a vast redeveloped industrial complex that is absolutely stunning and impressive. The artistic programme is focused on research and experimentation, with exhibitions of top international artists. What’s more ? An exciting calendar of events is offered to the public completely free of charge, with 3 specific programmes (HB Kids, HB Public and HB School) for 3 specific targets.

It’s not a secret that HangarBicocca is the “brainchild” of Pirelli, a place where the values of artistic research interact with those of a company whose core principles have always been innovation, promotion of talent and dialogue between different disciplines. As a founding member of Fondazione HangarBicocca (and sponsor of all the exhibitions), Pirelli ensures the continuity of the artistic programme, providing free access to all, together with activities and services for all kinds of public … including our furry friends … absolutely PAWesome !!!

And if art makes you hungry, the answer is “Dopolavoro Bicocca, an informal, creative and artistic spot inspired by the concept of simplicity and quality for lunch, brunch, aperitivo, dinner, a sweet snack on the go or just a simple coffee. The gastronomic offer is interesting…swinging from classic dishes to street food, from mediterranean to vegetarian, for any kind of palate. The “2 legged puppies” too are special guest in here with special fun dishes made for them.
Hangar Bicocca is an unconventional attraction you should not miss … the only cultural experience in Milan (so far …) you can finally share with your furry friends. Give it a go !!! (and get the chance of travelling on the new “lilac” line … the technical masterwork of which Milan is so proud).
