Navigli

The old “port of Milan” is with no doubt one of the most charming and fascinating areas to hang out, with its bridges, courtyards and “ringhiera” buildings which remind to the historical past of the city. A buzzing neighborhood during the day thanks to numerous art galleries, craft shops and markets. At night it is illuminated by the lights of many bars and restaurants along the river,  transforming itself in one of the most “happening” and attractive districts of the city. It would be a nice experience to walk your dog, to taste a typical “aperitivo”, to enjoy a special dinner with a romantic canal view or make friends to new Italian fellows with 2 and 4 legs.

Address: Alzaia Naviglio Pavese – 20143 Milano – map
Web: http://www.navigli.milano.it/ (Italian version only)
Metro 2 Porta Genova (green line) / Tram (line n. 2, 3, 9, 14, 47, 59) / walk from Duomo – Via Torino and Ripa di Porta Ticinese in about 15-20 minutes
A very interesting area all day long, but our preference goes to the night. During spring and summer Navigli become very lively after 7 pm (“aperitivo” time)
Do not miss the chance for a boat trip on Naviglio Grande, enjoy aperitivo or dinner sitting by the canal.
